Ahsan Iqbal says Punjab govt suspended local bodies illegally

LAHORE (92 News) – PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal said the Punjab government had suspended the local bodies illegally.

Talking to the media on Monday, he said that the Punjab government had wasted seven months. "The Supreme Court had ordered restorations of the local bodies, which are the base of the democratic system," he added.

The PML-N leader said that there was no example of putting the verdicts on the backburner.

He said that the PML-N will get the mandate across the country. "Democracy is not allowed to operate in Pakistan. There will be no ambiguity in the next elections," he added.

Ahsan Iqbal said that the presidential system was formed after breaking the country. "The return of Nawaz Sharif is linked to permission of doctors. The government is in fear due to Nawaz Sharif," he maintained.
