LAHORE (92 News) – After a notice taken by Prime Minister Imran Khan, the police arrested an official who received bribe from an Australian journalist at Lahore airport. He was identified as Imran Muzaffar, an employee of a private company, through a CCTV footage. The official had received bribe from Dennis Friedman when he reached the airport to board a Bangkok-bound flight. The police have suspended the airport entry pass of the accused. Further investigations are underway. In a video went viral on the social media, Dennis Friedman had accused the officer of receiving Rs50,000 as bribe from him. He alleged that the official had offered him help in exchange for the bribe. “I was asked to show my wallet and give the money in any currency,” he said. Dennis Friedman said that he had given the money on the insistence of the official. “I thought it was legal and later came to know that it was corruption,” he said. The airport chief operating officer took notice of the incident occurred on March 5.
