AJK Legislative Assembly fails to elect new PM, session adjourned until tomorrow

MUZAFFARABAD (92 News) - The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly could not elect the new prime minister on Monday.

Soon after its start, the session was adjourned until 11pm tomorrow.

Talking to the media outside the assembly, Opposition Leader Chaudhary Latif Akbar said that the opposition will nominate its joint candidate as there are no differences in the opposition.

"As per my information, the government has no required numbers. The acting prime minister had summoned the cabinet meeting, which was postponed due to lack of the required numbers. NA former speaker Asad Qaisar should not have sit in the chair of the AJK PM," he added.
