RAWALPINDI (92 News) – Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJ&K) President Sardar Masood Khan called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa at GHQ on Friday.
According to the ISPR, the two discussed matters of mutual interest, particularly situation on Line of Control (LOC).
There was an agreement to continue policy of restraint on Indian provocations as on both sides, it is Kashmiris who suffer from escalation.
The President appreciated Army’s contribution towards security and development in AJ&K.
Meanwhile, COAS Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa presented Academic Excellence Awards to the students of Army Public Schools and College System (APSACS) who distinguished themselves in SSC and HSSC Exams of Federal Board.
The COAS congratulated successful students, their parents and faculty for achieving excellent results. “Our younger generation is our asset and we are proud of their achievements.”
Reaffirming commitment to education, he said, we will do our best to provide whole hearted support towards improvement of education in the country.
A large number of students, parents of students, faculty and staff of APSACS Secretariat attended the ceremony.
