AJK SC declares Legislative Assembly session unconstitutional after PM resignation

MUZAFFARABAD (92 News) - The Azad Jammu and Kashmir Supreme Court has declared the Legislative Assembly session after the resignation of Prime Minister Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan Niazi.

The PTI plea was heard by the AJK Supreme Court full bench headed by Chief Justice Raja Saeed Akram.

The court order to summon a separate session for election of the prime minister.

It also heard the plea against the stay order issued by the High Court. In the verdict, the court ordered the Law secretary to bring the matter of calling the session for the election of the prime minister to the notice of the AJK president.

On the other hand, AJK President Barrister Sultan has called the session of the Legislative Assembly at 10:30am on April 18.
