Alia Bhatt reveals she was ridiculed for her appearance, weight in Bollywood

(Web Desk) - Famous Indian actress Alia Bhatt says that after entering Bollywood, she faced criticism for her appearance and weight.

In an interview with an Indian channel, Alia Bhatt said that when she started her acting career, she was obese, and her colour and appearance were also not that of heroines.

“Before entering Bollywood, I was satisfied with myself. But after I started acting, things changed for me,” she said.

Alia Bhatt revealed that in the early stages of her career, she was criticised and ridiculed on the basis of her obesity and appearance.

“Despite losing weight, I am still cautious about my weight and struggle to keep it under control,” she said.

“My friends tell me to stop dieting now and enjoy life, but I want to keep myself up to the demands of Bollywood,” she added.

It is worth mentioning here that Alia Bhatt has shown her acting skills in several hit films, including Gangubai Kathiawadi and Highway. She has also received many awards for best acting.
