All minorities enjoying full respect in Pakistan: Ijaz Shah

NANKANA SAHIB (92 News) - Minister for Anti-Narcotics Ijaz Shah says all minorities are enjoying full respect in Pakistan, while they are facing atrocities in India.

Addressing a function at Nankana Sahib in connection with Saaka Nankana Sahib, the minister said good treatment with minorities is a mandatory part of our religion Islam.

Ejaz Shah said the white color in our National flag represents minorities. “Guru Nanak taught the lesson of peace and love to the people. Sikhs had sacrificed their lives to take back control of gurdwaras and confronted the oppression valiantly on Feb 21, 1921. It is my honour to serve the people of Nankana Sahib,” he said.

Ijaz Shah here said that Baba Guru Nanak University will complete soon. He said construction work of Baba Guru Nanak University at Nankana Sahib will start soon, and it will bring educational revolution in the area. He said all construction expenses for this University will be borne by Government of Pakistan.

“The government of Pakistan is providing all funds for Baba Guru Nanak University,” he said adding that the vice chancellor of the university has also been appointed.”

Centenary celebrations at Gurdwara Janamasthan also being attended by Chairman Pakistan Sikh Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, Satwant Singh, its secretary and provincial parliamentary secretary for religious affairs Sardar Mohindarpal Singh.
