All political parties united for interest of country: Firdous
ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Special Assistant on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan said that it has been proved in both the Houses that all political parties are united for the interest of country.
Speaking to the journalists outside the Parliament House along with Leader of House in Senate Shibli Faraz and Senator Faisal Javed Khan, the special assistant appreciated the opposition over its cooperation for speedy legislation process in the parliament.
Firdous mentioned that said all political parties in the parliament played a vital role in further strengthening democratic process in Pakistan. She also said national security and defence are the prime responsibility of the government and today both the Houses were further strengthened showing political maturity.
On the occasion, Shibili Faraz said support of opposition benches in passage of the bills related to important national security issue is commendable and hoped that this cooperation will be continued in other legislation processes as well.
Senator Faisal Javed Khan positive and constructive criticism from the opposition side will be welcomed. He also expressed hope that this cooperation and unity from the opposition benches will be witnessed in the days to come.
A day earlier, Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that Utility Stores Corporation (USC) Chairman Zulqarnain Ali Khan is working without pay.
While giving a media briefing along with Zulqarnain Ali Khan and USC Managing Director Umer Lodhi, Firdous Ashiq Awan said that The government has given a package of seven billion rupees to USC to ensure provision of items of daily use to people at reasonable rates.
