Allah Almighty acquitted me as I was innocent, says Nawaz Sharif
LAHORE (92 News) - PML-N Quaid Nawaz Sharif said that Allah Almighty had acquitted him as he was innocent.
Addressing an election rally in Lahore's Anarkali area on Monday, he said that the judges who sentenced him had departed one by one.
"It is a true saying that a guilty conscience needs no accuser. For this reason, those judges left. The judge who was to become the chief justice after eight months also departed," he declared.
Nawaz Sharif said that there was no sign of inflation during his tenure as the prime minister. "Five breads were available at Rs20 only. My agenda is to bring back the old period and make your houses full of bustling," he added.
He said that his agenda was to make Pakistan self-reliant.
Speaking on the occasion, Maryam Nawaz Sharif said that they were the people of May 28, not Many 9. "We will have to throw the May 9 people out of the country. Self-proclaimed rulers enjoyed power for five years. Nawaz Sharif is worried as why gas, flour and sugar is expensive," she maintained.
She said that the PML-N was contesting against inflation, not against any party.
