Almost all Uighur militants eliminated from Pakistan, says President Mamnoon Hussain

BEIJING (92 News) – President Mamnoon Hussain has on Wednesday met with the Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping in Beijing. During the meeting, both leaders discussed Pak-China relations, bilateral cooperation, regional and global security situation. President Mamnoon Hussain described Pakistan and China as iron brothers. He said that they have reiterated to timely complete economic corridor projects. He said Pakistan is successfully conducting Operation Zarb-e-Azb against terrorists. “Special measures have been taken for the security of Chinese nationals in Pakistan,” he said. Mamnoon Husain said that almost all members of the Uighur militant group the East Turkestan Islamic Movement (ETIM) have been eliminated from Pakistan. President Mamnoon Hussain invited Chinese companies to invest in Pakistan in different fields, adding that the China Pakistan Economic Corridor project will bring prosperity in two countries and the region.
