LOS VEGAS (92 News) – British-Pakistani Muslim boxer Amir Khan has on Thursday took a verbal jab at Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump. Amir Khan was speaking ahead of his WBC middleweight title fight against Saul "Canelo" Alvarez. Khan, a Muslim, suggested it could be the last time he and his Mexican opponent appear in Vegas if Trump is elected president. Trump had promised to build a wall on the US-Mexican border and temporarily ban Muslims from entering the country. Khan drew laughter when he joked during a news conference: "You never know, this could be the last fight for me and Canelo here, that's if Donald Trump becomes president." A chuckling Khan added: "You never know. You have to all tune in come Saturday." Khan made his comments the same day that Trump became the last man standing in the race for the Republican nomination after John Kasich ended his campaign.
