ISLAMABAD (92 News) – On the second day of Eidul Azha, people continued to offer sacrifice of animals to follow the Sunnah of Hazrat Ibrahim (AS) and Hazrat Ismail (AS).

Owing to precautionary measures due to the COVID-19 pandemic, people are preferring collective sacrifice instead of individual one. At several places, people sacrificed animals in streets in violation of the SOPs.

On the other hand, The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) has warned the danger of Delta variant spreading in the country during Eidul Azha. The NCOC has decided to tighten Covid-19 restrictions after the infection rate across the country rose above 4 percent. The forum instructed all provinces to ensure implementation of precautionary measures in high-risk areas over surfacing case of Delta variant.

Special teams have also been formed for this purpose. The government has, on the other hand, made coronavirus vaccination mandatory for everyone. People won’t be allowed inside gyms, restaurants, hotels, and cinemas without showing their immunisation certificates.
