Another murderer hanged in Vihari

VIHARI (92 News) – Another convicted murderer was hanged on Saturday morning in District Jail Vihari. Convict Manzoor was sentenced to death for killing Fida Hussain in 2001. There are over 8,000 death convicts in jails across the country, mostly convicted of murder and terrorist activities. Over 70 convicts have been hanged since the prime minister lifted a de-facto moratorium on the death penalty after the gruesome attack on a school in Peshawar in December last year.
