ISLAMABAD (92 News) - An anti-encroachment operation of Capital Development Authority (CDA) and district administration is continued on second day Islamabad’s Kashmir Highway. According to the details, Illegally constructed hotels, restaurants and wedding halls among many other buildings were razed to the ground. All the major marriage halls, famed international food chains and hostels were demolished. State Minister for Affairs Shehryar Afridi visited the sites where the operation drive was under way. The minister announced to take action against the government officials who allotted the property. He also said that the structures constructed with official approval will be bulldozed. Earlier a day, the drive was started by Capital Development Authority, during which heavy machinery. The authorities do not faced any sort of resistance during the operation. However, more than 350 personnel of Islamabad police, Rangers, Elite Force and CDA participated in the operation. The owners claimed that the CDA and district administration caused loss worth million to them without any prior notice. Meanwhile, the authorities rejected their accusations and said that several notices were issued to the owners but no one implemented over them.
