Anti-Pakistan elements spreading rumours about default, SBP forex reserves increasing: Ishaq Dar

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Finance Minister Ishaq Dar has said that anti-Pakistan elements are spreading malicious rumours that Pakistan may default, which is not only completely false but also belie the facts.

In a message on Twitter handle on Thursday, he said that the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) forex reserves have been increasing and are almost US$ 1 billion higher than four weeks ago despite making all external due payments on time.

Our negotiations with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) are about to conclude and we expect to sign the Staff Level Agreement with the IMF by next week. All economic indicators are slowly moving in the right direction," he maintained.
