PESHAWAR (92 News) – Peshawar Police arrested 471 parents on Monday for refusing administration of polio vaccine drops to children. Deputy Commissioner Peshawar rejected applications for the release of arrested parents and arrest warrants of at least a thousand people have also been issued. Deputy Commissioner Peshawar, Riaz Khan Mehsud confirmed the arrest of 471 parents and also the arrest warrants issued for a thousand people refusing the vaccine. More than 300 polio cases were recorded in Pakistan last year.
