Anti-polio drive begins in parts of country

LAHORE (92 News) – Anti-polio drive began in different parts of the country on Monday. In Punjab, four-day anti-polio campaign has been launched in Sargodha, Multan, Lodhran, Vehari Khanewal, Hafizabad, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar and Rajanpur districts where hundreds of thousands of children are being vaccinated. In Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa and FATA, over 6.6 million children are being vaccinated against the crippling disease. In Balochistan, more than 2.4 million children less than the age of five years are being administered anti-polio drops during the campaign. In Gilgit-Baltistan, over 243,000 children will be administered anti polio drops during anti-polio drive. In Azad Jammu and Kashmir, a total of 7,48,948 children will be administered anti polio and Vitamin A drops.
