Anti-polio drive enters third day across country

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The five-day anti-polio campaign enters its third day today (on Wednesday). As many as 29.6 million children will be administered anti-polio drops during the drive which will continue till September 25. The coronavirus SOPs are being implemented strictly. The anti-polio drive is successfully underway in Sindh including Karachi. The drive will be administered anti-polio drops to the children will continue till September 27 in the 29 districts of the province. The parents of the children under the age of five years have been urged to administered anti-polio drops to their children in a bid to save them from the crippling disease of polio. The health department has set target of 91,48,355 children to administer anti-polio drops. The polio eradication programme has put strict measures in place for all staff following the government’s set guidelines on COVID-19 preventative measures. Earlier, in a video message, Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Health Dr Faisal Sultan appealed to parents to fully cooperate with the teams. He urged the people to administer the anti-polio drops to their children. During the five-day drive, over 1.38 million children will be administered anti-polio drops across the province.
