LAHORE (92 News) – Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif’s personal doctor Dr Adnan Khan on Sunday said that Any advertent or inadvertent delay in the treatment of former prime minister can seriously jeopardize his health. In his tweet, Dr Adnan said that the medical evaluation of Nawaz Sharif remains incomplete. Neither he was admitted to hospital nor was he being given better treatment. He also stressed the need for further medical management. Dr Adnan further warned that any delay in treatment of Nawaz Sharif can risk his health. “It’s been quite a few days, former PM #NawazSharif’s medical evaluation remains incomplete and further medical management is awaited. Neither Mr. Sharif is hospitalized nor his treatment optimized. Any advertent or inadvertent delay can seriously jeopardize his health,” nawaz Sharif’s personal doctor tweeted.   The doctor further said that looking forward to urgent response in terms of further treatment considering significant health concerns for former PM. “Medical Board of Allama Iqbal Medical College/Jinnah Hospital submitted recommendations on 17JAN2019 & that of PIC on 23JAN2019. Looking forward to urgent response in terms of further treatment considering significant health concerns for former PM #NawazSharif A humble request,” he said in his another tweet.
Nawaz Sharif is unwell in jail: Maryam
Maryam Nawaz has lamented that her family was not being kept informed about the medical condition of her father Nawaz Sharif. In her tweet, Maryam said, “I have been told that MNS is unwell and is being taken to Punjab Institute of Cardiology (PIC) tomorrow but myself or the family has no knowledge of it,” she wrote. Maryam also said that she had also written to the Punjab Home Department after pleading with jail authorities. Her statement comes two days after she hit out at authorities for not releasing official medical reports of the former prime minister. “We still haven’t received the reports given by the medical boards. After pleading with the jail authorities, we have also written to the Home department,” she tweeted. The former three-time prime minister has been serving seven-year jail term at Kot Lakhpat prison after his conviction Al-Aziza steel mill case. His bail plea is pending before the Islamabad High Court (IHC).
