Anyone try to enter Pakistan would be given a befitting response: Lt Gen Aamir Riaz

CHAMAN (92 News) – Commander Southern Command Lieutenant General Aamir Riaz on Sunday said that whosoever tried to enter Pakistan would be give the same way befitting response.

Talking to media after reviewing the post attack situation in the area, he said that Afghan forces committed a shameful act by targeting innocent civilians through mortar shells attack.

Lt Gen Aamir said that such attacks would not benefit Afghanistan in any way and the Afghan government should be ashamed of such type of imprudent acts.

“Pakistani artillery also retaliated to the Afghan forces’ attack with full might and they resorted to destroy from four to five check posts of Afghanistan,” he added.

He went on to say that such types of un-provocative attacks are in no way acceptable to us, adding that the Afghan government has adopted a negative approach towards Pakistan and it targeted our territory challenging our sovereignty.

The Commander Southern Command said that Bab-e-Dosti on Pak-Afghan border would remain close till normalcy of the situation, adding that Pakistan government is trying its level best to mend the situation.

Earlier, Lt Gen Aamir visited Civil Hospital Chaman and inquired after the health of the people injured in the Friday’s tragic incident.

Inspector General Frontier Corps Balochistan, Major General Nadeem Anjum and other high-ranking civil and military officials accompanied him during the visit.
