APC main target to reject debt inquiry commission: Dr Firdous

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said the declaration of All Parties Conference (APC) had revealed that its main target to reject the debt inquiry commission. Responding to the opposition’s APC, while addressing a press conference, she said the thought of those, who had come out to topple the democratically elected government had ended on the suspension of Senate chairman and deputy chairman.
Rehbar Committee by APC a joke with nation
She said the formation of Rehbar Committee by the APC was a joke with the nation and there is a need to define the term 'Rehbar' also and bring forth its true meaning to the masses. She said around 99.9 per cent of those who are part of Rehbar Committee have been involved in corruption so they did not use the word corruption anywhere in their declaration.
APC fails after continuing for 10 hours
Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the All Parties Conference had failed after continuing for almost 10 hours. She said people had given mandate to the PTI government and it was answerable to them. “The APC's political show had started at 12 noon [but it] failed after continuing for almost 10 hours,” Dr Awan said, adding that the event used to host political actors and hold puppet shows.
APC declaration not mention anything against corruption
“The APC’s notification did not mention anything against corruption,” she added, noting that the participating political parties did not seem to be in agreement over a viewpoint and that the "political actors do not find ‘corruption’ weird. “The opposition used to roll up sleeves to threaten to topple and send back home the government before the APC," she said. Their survival is tied to corruption.
APC’s moot exposes ineligibility, incivility of Opp leadership
The special assistant said that the APC of opposition parties becomes unsuccessful as it fails to make any consensus against the incumbent government. She was of the view that the opposition is only interested in personal agendas but not the national issues. “The APC has also exposed motives of the opposition leaders against the inquiry commission.”
Govt completely rejects APC’s agenda
The special assistant said that the government has completely rejected the APC’s agenda brought by the opposition parties. She advised opposition parties to bring a agenda which highlights interests of the nation.
