APC under chair of Fazl to discuss Kashmir today

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – A meeting of the opposition’s all parties conference (APC) will be held on Monday (today) under the chair of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-F (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman in Islamabad to discuss Kashmir issue. According to the sources, the opposition will devise a joint strategy over Kashmir issue during the APC meeting. The meeting will talk about the current situation of the Indian Occupied Kashmir. It was reported that the agenda of the meeting focuses on latest development on Kashmir issue, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf government’s one-year performance. Opposition Leader in National Assembly Shehbaz Sharif and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto will not attend the APC meeting. The meeting will also review the situation created after the failure of no confidence motion against the Senate chairman and will chalk out a joint future strategy. PML-N spokesperson said that the leader of opposition would not attend the huddle due to his backache, while a delegation comprising of party leaders Khawaja Asif, Ahsan Iqbal and Ayaz Sadiq will represent the party. Meanwhile, Nayyer Bukhari, Yousaf Raza Gillani, Sherry Rehman and Farhatullah Babar will represent the PPP due to the absence of party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari. Asfandyar Wali, Mahmood Khan Achakzai, Awais Norani, Aftab Sherpao and Hurriyet leaders have also been invited to attend the meeting. It will be the second within three months. Maulana Fazlur Rehman had called the first APC aimed at finding ways to topple the government. The fresh conference, to be held at 11am at a local hotel, has also been called by Maulana Fazl. On the other hand, in late night, Maulana Fazlur Rehman met Bilawal Bhutto, apparently to convince the latter to attend the APC. Fazl was accompanied by JUI-F leaders Ghafoor Haideri and Akram Khan Durrani. PPP leaders Farhatullah Babar and Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar were also present in the meeting. During the meeting, the JUI-F chief discussed agenda of the APC with Bilawal and the decisions likely to be made in it.
