APOTA, OGRA dialogues fail again, oil supplies remain suspended

KARACHI (92 News) – The deadlock on dialogues of All Pakistan Oil Tankers Association (APOTA) over National Logistics Cell (NLC) and Pakistan State Oil (PSO) quota system and other issues continued, resulting in the suspension of oil supplies. The second round of talks between All Pakistan Oil Tankers Association (APOTA) and Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) failed again and the APOTA strike continued. The APOTA said that they have bought No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the PSO for the supply of oil but the PSO has decreased their quota from 70 percent to 30 percent. The association further said that the strike will continue until their demands are met. On the other hand, PSO said that it respects all its contractors and stakeholders and the oil contactors and NLC is being given permission for oil supplies under One Q-System.
