Tribunal seeks complete record of Imran's NA-53 papers from RO

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The appellate tribunal on Thursday sought complete record of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan's NA-53 nomination papers from returning officer (RO). Appellate tribunal Justice Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani heard the petition of Imran challenging RO’s verdict to reject his nomination papers. imran Khan's lawyer Babar Awan was present in the hearing. Babar Awan argued that Imran Khan is the chairman of Pakistan’s biggest political party and is struggling for the basic rights of the public. PTI' lawyer maintained that the nomination papers were rejected over weak foundation. “RO’s decision is contrary to justice and unfair. Therefore; it is requested to accept the nomination papers while annulling the verdict of RO,” he asserted. The justice that why the RO disqualified Khan from the constituency. The appellate tribunal while issuing notice to RO and directed the RO Islamabad’s NA-53 constituency to submit complete record of Pakistan Imran Khan’s nomination papers till tomorrow. After hearing speaking to the journalists, Babar Awan claimed that Imran Khan will become MNA from NA-53 and the next prime minister. He said that the caretaker prime minister has come for surveillance, not for the rule.
