Appellate Tribunals starts receiving appeals against nomination papers

LAHORE (92 News) – Appellate Tribunals have started receiving appeals against acceptance or rejection of nomination papers by the Returning Officers (ROs) across Pakistan. According to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), the last date for filing appeals is Friday. The tribunals will dispose off the appeals from June 23 to June 27. The Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf has filed the appeal over rejection of Imran Khan's nomination papers for NA-53. Pakistan Muslim League-N leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and Pakistan People's Party leader Yousaf Raza gillani will also file the petitions. Two tribunals are receiving appeals in the building of Peshawar High Court. Similarly, the Benches of Peshawar High Court at Abbottabad, Mingora, Bannu and Dera Ismail Khan are also receiving appeals.
