Armed robbers hold guards hostage, loot 26 shops in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) – The armed robbers held the security guards hostage and looted 26 shops in Sadar area of Karachi on Tuesday.

According to details, the armed miscreants climbed the roof late night, held the two gatekeepers hostage and looted the shops in Shahabuddin Market adjacent to New Preedy Street in Brigade Police jurisdiction.

Police said that they have begun the investigation and the accused are being identified with the help of CCTV footage.

A similar incident happened in the same market few months ago.

According to the shopkeepers, incidents of dacoity are on a rise in the area.

The police reached the scene when the vendors protested and like every time, calmed them down through negotiations.
