Army chief and army are not separate from each other, says Ch Pervaiz Elahi

ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Punjab Assembly Speaker Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi has said that the army chief and the army are not separate from each other.

In a statement on Thursday, he said that the meaning of targeting the army chief is to target the army. "The army will succeed in the present crisis and the enemy forces will be disappointed," he added.

The Punjab Assembly speaker said that COAS Qamar Javed Bajwa had rendered unforgettable services for the elimination of terrorism. "Those who are launching a propaganda against the army and the army chief want to destabilize the defence of the country," he maintained.

He said that it was the agenda of anti-Pakistan forces to create a gulf in the army and the nation. "The COAS has always supported the government to reduce the economic difficulties of the country and removed the reservations of the European countries," he concluded.
