Army chief strongly condemns assassination of Maulana Samiul Haq

Rawalpindi (92 News) – Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa has strongly condemned assassination of renowned religious scholar and political leader Maulana Samiul Haq. Inter-Service Public Relation (ISPR) Director General Major General Asif Ghafoor said, “COAS strongly condemns assassination of renowned religious scholar and political leader Moulana Sami ul Haq.” “Expresses grief and condolences to the bereaved family,” he added.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-S) chief and former senator Maulana Samiul Haq was stabbed to death at his residence in Rawalpindi. Maulana Hami ul Haq, son of Maulana Sami ul Haq, confirmed that his father was assassinated in his room.
