Army has no role in Gilgit-Baltistan election: CEC Raja Shahbaz

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Chief Election Commissioner Raja Shahbaz said that the Army had no role in the Gilgit-Baltistan elections.

Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, he said that the ECP would seek help from the police, Rangers and Frontier Constabulary in the elections.

He said that as many as 95 notices had been issued to the office-bearers of the PPP, PML-N and the PTI for electioneering.

Over 703,000 people will cast their votes in the elections.
