Arrest of PTI chairman is not political, says Marriyum Aurangzeb
ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb has said that the arrest of the PTI chairman is not political.
Reacting to the arrest of the PTI chairman in a statement on Saturday, she said that no state power was used to get the PTI chairman sentenced. "The PTI chairman has yet to be convicted in the cypher, foreign funding and Al-Qadir University cases," she added.
The minister said that the PTI chairman was sentenced after the completion of trial and legal requirements. "The theft of the PTI chairman has been caught in the Toshakhana case. The gifts were sold out before purchasing them. Imran Khan used to make false excuses whenever he was asked to give the reply," she maintained.
She said that the arrest of the PTI chairman is not linked to the elections. "He told lies in court despite he was repeatedly given chances," she added.
