Arshad Malik video case: Main accused Tariq Mehmood granted bail

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) approved the bail of Mian Tariq Mehmood, main accused of blackmailing former judge Arshad Malik. Chief Justice Athar Minallah and Justice Aamer Farooq announced the verdict on Tuesday. The IHC ordered to release immediately Mian Tariq Mehhmood after finding insufficient evidence against him. Mehmood will be released after submitting Rs100,000 surety bond. The court said that FIA to failed to present sufficient evidence in the case. Deputy Attorney General Tayyab Shah said that they have submitted the statements of the witnesses. The court then asked what did Malik say in his statement? Was the judge easily blackmailed? The court even asked if the FIA has seen the video of the judge. Mian Tariq Mehmood, main accused of blackmailing former judge Arshad Malik, will soon be released on bail. He was arrested on July 17, 2019.
