ISLAMABAD (92 News) - Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah has said that the government has started proceedings under the Article 6 in the light of the verdict of the Supreme Court.

Addressing a press conference on Thursday, he said that the federal government is bound to implement the court judgment. "President Arif Alvi and former prime minister Imran Khan had made fun of the constitution. After the Supreme Court verdict, President Arif Alvi should resign," he demanded.

Rana Sanaullah said that the funeral of the politics of Imran Khan had been taken out. "We will arrest Imran Khan if the federal cabinet granted permission in this regard," he declared.

He said that Imran Khan along with an armed group had invaded the federal capital and he wanted to seal the capital. "During the long march, we hectically searched Sheikh Rasheed but he could not be founded," he added.

The minister said that Mian Nawaz Sharif was wrongly sentenced and he was innocent. "Nawaz Sharif was sent abroad for treatment after suspending his sentence. After the SC verdict, there is no reason to stop proceedings against President Arif Alvi, former prime minister Imran Khan, former speaker Asad Qaisar, former deputy speaker Qasim Suri and former law minister," he maintained.
