Artist Sikandar Sanam being remembered on death anniversary

KARACHI (92 News) - The eighth death anniversary of comedian and stage artist Muhammad Sikandar Sanam is being observed with respect on Thursday.

The comedian lost his battle to liver cancer on 5th November 2012 after getting treatment at Agha Khan Hospital in Karachi.

Sanam started his career as a child artist and singer. His Pakistani remakes of Indian films including Khal Nayak 2, Ghanjini 2, Dabbang 2, Bodyguard 2, Munna Bhai MBBS 2 and Tere Naam Part 2 have distinguished him from other stage artists. The craze for his remakes could be gauged through the fact that cable operators played them on public demand.

He was given title of Comedy King by The Great Indian Laughter Challenge for his parody movie of Indian blockbuster Tere Naam.

He died at the age of 52 year. He was born on 21st September, 1960.
