Asad Umar announces Covid-19 vaccination for each citizen after Eidul Fitr

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) Chairman Asad Umar has announced to administer vaccine to each citizen after Eidul Fitr.

Addressing a meet-the-press on Tuesday, he said that the UK coronavirus had spread to the entire region. "The people do not believe in the pandemic until a family member is affected by it," he added.

He said that unfortunately the SOPs could not be implemented in an effective way and as a result, hospital filled up. "There is a danger of the spread of the pandemic in Ramazan due to a rush in bazaar," he maintained.

The NCOC chairman said that 60,000-70,000 vaccines are being administered daily. "The disease affects the elderly people. 640,000 registered health workers have been administered the vaccine," he added.

He said that over 1.7 million people have been registered for the vaccine.
