ISLAMABAD (92 News) - PTI leader Asad Umar has demanded protection for the PTI long march to be announced shortly.

Talking to the media after moving the Supreme Court on Wednesday, he said that the government had violated the orders of the Supreme Court issued for the March 25 long march.

"Workers were baton-charged, tear-gassed and tortured during the peaceful long march," he said, demanding that the court should stop the government from closing roads and making arrests.

He also demanded that the verdict on the application should be announced at the earliest.

Asad Umar said that Imran Khan would announce the future strategy today. "The nation is ready for getting the real independence," he added.

He said that five workers of the PTI were killed due to government torture and shelling. "Azadi March was ended in fear of the clash. Now the government is using several tactics to stop the march," he maintained.
