Asad Umar says corporate laws being improved in Pakistan

ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Minister for Finance Asad Umar has said that the corporate laws are also being amended to improve business environment in Pakistan on Monday. Addressing a ceremony pertaining to the corporate sector, Asad Umar said the fundamental operating procedures for the corporate sector will also be changed to achieve the desired goals. He also said the government is also focusing to improve governance in public sector enterprises. The minister has urged the regulators including the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan and Pakistan Stock Market to fully facilitate the corporate sector in order to enhance its productivity and contribution to the economy. Drawing a comparison between private and government entities, Asad Umar said the procedures for procurement are quite complex in the public sector. He said we have now got the cabinet approval to change the multilateral procurement rules.
Pakistan demanded to remove India from FATF review body
The finance minister also said that Pakistan has demanded the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) to remove India from of FATF review body.
India wants to isolate Pakistan diplomatically
Earlier yesterday, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that India wants to isolate Pakistan diplomatically in every forum. Addressing a ceremony in Multan, FM Qureshi said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi had said that isolating Pakistan diplomatically is their country’s policy. He also termed that Pakistan’s relations in international forum has been improved within previous six months.
