ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Minister for Planning and Reform Asad Umar said that the lockdown has been extended for further 15 days till May 9. Talking to the media after a meeting of the National Coordination Committee (NCC) on Friday, he said that testing facility would be enhanced. “There will be no loadshedding during Sehr and Iftar. Bazaars can be opened after Eid if the people remain careful during Ramazan,” he said. The minister said that the National Coordination Committee had decided to change the lockdown into a smart lockdown. “Under the Trace and Track System, the area found with coronavirus will be in lockdown. However, the remaining areas will remain opened under the SOPs,” he said. The minister said that the government has given Rs79 billion to 5.7 million deserving families. “The Pak Army is fully supporting the government in the fight against coronavirus,” he said. Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Information Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the people willing to launch their YouTube channels should get themselves registered with the PID. “The youth can increase their income through the social media,” she added.
