December 24, 2019
LAHORE (92 News)  – An accountability court on Tuesday directed Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz  president Shehbaz Sharif to appear before it on January 7 in the Ashiana Housing scam. Accountability Court Judge Amjad Nazir, in the written orders, remarked that Shehbaz Sharif has continuously been absent from the Ashiana Iqbal Housing Scheme scam case which is affecting the proceedings. “The court is giving the last chance to the PML-N leader to show-up before the court,” the order issued by  AC judge Amjad Nazeer Chaudhry reads. Sharif, in the Ashiyana-i-Iqbal housing scam, is accused of cancelling the award of the project to successful bidder M/s Chaudhry Latif and Sons and instead obliging M/s Lahore Casa Developers (JV) — a proxy group of M/s Paragon City (Pvt) Limited, which the bureau claims was developed by former railways minister Khawaja Saad Rafique.
