Ashrafi lauds Ahsan Iqbal’s announcement for holding talks with protesters

LAHORE (92 News) – Pakistan Ulema Council chairman Allama Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi has on Sunday lauded the announcement made by Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal for holding dialogue to end sit-in at Faizabad. He also praised the statement of the Army Chief for peaceful resolution of the issue. The Pakistan Ulema Council chairman said we should work to strengthen the state and avoid confrontation as it is not the solution of the issue. Allama Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi proposed that a committee headed by Raja Zafar ul Haq be constituted consisting of representatives of ministries of interior, religious affairs and law to investigate the issue of legislation.
