ASI arrested for misbehaving with elderly woman in IGP Office

LAHORE (92 News) – The police have arrested an assistant sub-inspector who had misbehaved with an elderly woman at IGP Office on Thursday. A case has been registered against him under section 155C of Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC). The action was taken against ASI Asif after 92 News highlighted the matter. ASI Asif had misbehaved with 80-year-old Kundan Bibi, who had come to the IGP office to file an application against a police officer from Muzaffargarh, and thrown her cane. IGP Punjab Capt (retd) Arif Nawaz said that there is no place for officers misbehaving with citizens in the department. In a message on Twitter, Shahbaz Gill, spokesman for the Punjab Chief Minister, said that the police officer who misbehaved with the elderly woman had been suspended.
