ASI martyred during raid in Rawalpindi’s Wah Cantt area

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – An Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) of police Riaz was martyred during a raid carried out Thursday night in the Wah Cantt. According to the details, the police conducted a raid to arrest notorious drug peddler in Wah Cantt upon which the culprits opened fire at the police. During the firing, ASI Riaz was critically wounded. He was rushed to hospital where he succumbed to his wounds during treatment. The drug peddlers managed to escape from the spot after the incident. The ASI was immediately shifted to the hospital but he succumbed to his injuries, the spokesperson added. “ASI Riaz has embraced Shahdat after an armed encounter with hardened criminals in Wah Cantt,” Rawalpindi Police posted on its Twitter account.
