Asif Bajwa demands to increase security of census teams

LAHORE (92 News) – Chief Statistician and Census Commissioner Asif Bajwa has demanded to increase the security of the census teams following the suicide attack at Lahore’s Bedian Road on Wednesday.

 

The chief census commissioner said that 44,000 soldiers, policemen and FC officials are cooperating in the census process.

 

He said that all the complaints are being recorded.

 

Bajwa said that the process of house count has been completed in 63 districts. He said that those missed in house count should alert his office by April 13.

 

The chief statistician added that counting every Pakistani is his mission statement.

 

At least six persons including four army men were martyred and several others injured in a suicide blast targeting a van carrying census team in the provincial capital’s Bedian Road on Wednesday.
