Asif Zardari asks ECP to conduct elections as per constitution

KARACHI (92 News) - Former president Asif Ali Zardari has said that the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) should conduct the elections as per constitution.

Talking to the media after his arrival from Abu Dhabi on Saturday, he said that the ECP was also bound to do new delimitation of constituencies after the census.

"We have full trust in the chief election commissioner and all members. The caretaker government should put the country on the way to progress by implementing the projects launched by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC)," he maintained.

He said that currently the country was passing through an economic crisis. "We all should think about economy instead of politics," he added.
