Asif Zardari fails to appear before accountability court, workers scuffle with police

RAWALPINDI (92 News) - Former president and Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari failed to appear before an accountability court on Tuesday on account of illness. According to reports, the former president’s counsel Farooq Naek pleaded the court that Asif Zardari is sick due to which he could not appear before the court. “He will be present on the next hearing,” he pleaded. Strict security arrangements were made for Asif Ali Zardari’s appearance , with police officials were deployed at several places. The adjacent cark park belonging to the civil court was also vacated. The bomb disposal squad also searched the whole building before Zardari’s arrival. Due to stringent security arrangements, PPP supporters could not enter the premises and started scuffle with the police officials deployed at sensitive places. The workers chanted slogans in favour of PPP and Asif Ali Zardari.
