At least 2 dead, 12 injured in blast near Quaidabad flyover in Karachi

KARACHI (92 News) – At least two people dead and twelve were injured in blast near Quaidabad flyover in Karachi on Friday night. As per reports, the explosion took place under the flyover of Quaidabad area in the metropolis. SSP Malir said that the blast took place at a near the vendors set up their stalls. While in-charge CTD Raja Umar said that the blast was planted through a device. The police were yet to ascertain the exact nature and cause of the explosion. It was reported that power supply to the adjoining areas was disrupted after the blast. The security personnel have reached the place of incident and have cordoned off the area while the injured are being shifted to hospital. Meanwhile, the bomb disposal squad also has been called on the blast site. Meanwhile, Karachi police chief Dr Ameer Sheikh also has been arrived on the blast site. Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah has taken notice of the incident and sought a report from the additional inspector-general of Sindh police.
