At least four death-row prisoners hanged, one escaped the noose in different jails

MIANWALI (92 News) – As many as four death-row prisoners convicted for murder were executed, while one death-row prisoner escape the noose in Mianwali in the wee hours of Wednesday. As per details, death-row prisoners namely Riaz Khan, Amanullah Khan and Mumtaz Khan were hanged to death in Mianwali Central Prison, who killed three people in the premises of Session Court in 2006. Meanwhile, death-row prisoner Waqar was hanged in Gujranwala Central Jail. Waqar had killed at least five persons including four women 15 years ago. On the other hand, a Gujranwala Central Jail death-row prisoner escaped the noose after a settlement between the rivals. The accused had killed his wife and daughter in 2002.
