ATM skimming fraud: 32 bank customers deprived of millions of rupees

RAWALPINDI (92 News) – As many as 32 customers of a private bank were deprived of millions of rupees in a big scandal of ATM skimming. Officials told 92 News that the hackers had hacked the cards and the transactions were made in Karachi. They said that an amount of Rs 400,000 owned by a female student studying in Malaysia was also withdrawn. They said that the hackers had hacked the data of all customers on January 1 and looted the money on Saturday and Sunday. “The bank had suspended the alert of all customers. We have so far blocked 1,800 ATMs,” he said. The bank has contacted the State Bank of Pakistan for help.
