ISLAMABAD (92 News) – Lashing out at the incumbent government, Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) stalwart Khawaja Asif said on Monday that yesterday the attack was attempted on former prime minister Nawaz Sharif during the protest outside his son’s residence in London. Speaking to the floor in the National Assembly, the PML-N senior leader said that the protest outside Nawaz Sharif’s residence is clear message of battle from the government’s side. “Attack was attempted yesterday and this wrong tradition being set by the government in London protest,” he said. Issuing warning to the government, Khawaja Asif maintained that this war does not close if they will retaliate. “His party does not wish to turn political enmity into personal one but they will go to last extant if something happens to their leader,” he said. “I know who is behind the protest in London and I will reveal the names of those who staged protest when the time comes,” the PML-N leader claimed. “It has never happened in the past, and it will turn into a tradition if such acts start to take place.” Khawaja Asif maintained that the PML-N knows who to take revenge but does not want conflict. He warned that the party will retaliate in the same coin if sanctity of former prime minister’s or anyone else’s house is violated. “Nawaz Sharif went to London after permission of the court,” he said. The former defence minister said that this kind of behavior is not encouraged as they are being given a message of war from the government side. He also said that it will engulf the whole system. “We would not instruct our workers to stage demonstrations outside anyone’s home,” he added. On the other hand,Nawaz Sharif is currently in London for medical treatment. A British doctor has declared the disease of Nawaz Sharif, who is on a four-week bail, a complex one. Talking to 92 News on Sunday, Dr Nayyar Zaman said that the PML-N Quaid could be taken to Boston, United States for treatment. “Nawaz Sharif can be treated in London, but I think Boston will be appropriate,” he said.
