Attempt made to re-write constitution to bring a defeated person: Maryam Nawaz

LAHORE (92 News) - Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has said that an attempt was made to re-write the constitution to bring a defeated person.

Reacting to the SC verdict on the reserved seats on Friday, she said that the PTI was given what it did not demand in the Supreme Court.

“The person whom they want to bring back is an accused of the nation. The progress of the country stops on the decision of a coterie comprising of a few people,” she added.

The Punjab CM appealed to the SC judges to let the country run. “The person trying to topple the government will be dealt with an iron hand,” she maintained.

She said that the prime minister had to make some tough decisions because the former government left the economy in a dilapidated condition. “Solar systems will be given to easy installments to consumers using 200-500 units,” she added.

She expressed the resolve to get the people rid of the heavy power bills.
