ISLAMABAD (92 News) – During austerity drive, 61 out of 102 including seven bullet proof luxury vehicles of Prime Minister’s House have been auctioned on Monday (today). As per details, the Public auction of luxury vehicles of Prime Minister’s House was being held on Monday in Islamabad. The bidders submitted 10 per cent amount of the total value of a vehicle. The vehicles displayed for auction include eight BMW, 28 Mercedes, 40 Toyota cars, two land cruisers, five Mitsubishi, and two jeeps. The auction is being arranged in the backdrop of Prime Minister Imran Khan's austerity drive and living a simple life style. First of all, the Corolla Altis 2010 model sold out worth 0.1 million and Mehran 2005 model was sold in 2 lakh ninety five thousand rupees. According to the promise made by Prime Minister Imran Khan, the auction of 102 luxury vehicles will be held tomorrow in PM’s House. 27 luxury cars from 102 are bullet proof. The incumbent government has hoped that the auction of the vehicles will add crores of rupees to the national treasure. On Tuesday, Prime Minister’s Special Assistant for Political Affairs Naeemul Haq said the government will auction four surplus helicopters of the Cabinet Division. This was stated by Special Assistant to Naeemul Haq in a tweet. Haq said that the surplus helicopters to be sold are not being used by the Cabinet Division.   Furthermore, Haq also stated that eight buffaloes bought to cater to the ‘gastronomic requirements’ of former prime minister Nawaz Sharif will also be sold. The auction is carrying eight luxury BMW cars and four recent models of Mercedes Benz vehicles in its ad, including 16 Toyota Corolla, three Suzuki and one HTV vehicle.
